The following are areas that we at Faith, have shared our time and talents to help those in need. There are always ways in which we can share the message of God’s love and we would welcome any suggestions for continued growth in our Social Ministry. Contact the church office for more information regarding:
Blood Drives

Whitehall Food Pantry
This mission serves the families in Whitehall and surrounding communities who have fallen on hard times. The pantry is open every Monday evening and 5 area churches share the responsibility of stocking shelves and assisting patrons in their selection of food. The pantry is generously supplied by all of the local churches as well as the Second Harvest Food Bank.
Daybreak
This is a program of the Lehigh County Conference of Churches. Once a month, a group from Faith goes to the center at 5th and Chew Sts., Allentown, to serve lunch to the participants. Contact person: Barbara Kotsch.
Flowers
Delivering flowers to shut-ins weekly and following the Christmas and Easter services
Over 80 Birthday Luncheon
Each year we celebrate our cherished seniors who have reached and/or exceeded that 80th milestone of knowledge. We love hearing their memories and learning from their years of experience.
Visitation of Shut In’s
several of our members visit shut in’s on a regular basis, sharing prayers and communion with those who are unable to attend services. This is a fulfilling mission for both the shut in’s and our Eucharistic Ministers.
In the area of Stewardship, the committee works towards planning a year-round emphasis on stewardship; to foster to the congregation an understanding and appreciation of stewardship as a thankful response to God.
The committee strives to encourage each member toward a realistic estimate of giving and a commitment of time and talent.
The Stewardship Committee cooperates with the members of the Finance Committee in keeping the congregation informed about Faith’s financial status and aware of current financial concerns and anticipated major expenses.
Outreach also means "Evangelism", but people step back from that word. Our committee looks for ways to encourage individuals to witness for Christ by sharing their faith in word and deed; to welcome new members into the congregation, to reach out in personal ministry to the inactive and the unchurched. Also, we endeavor to encourage spiritual growth through Bible study and devotions, to welcome everyone to our services and to promote enthusiasm in the congregation.
The New Member Orientation is carried out by this committee. The committee normally meets the 1st Wednesday of each month at 7pm in the Office workroom.
Contact persons are Samantha Pierce and Joanne Gantz-Jalowiecki.
